The conference also celebrated the achievements of newly certified CIA members from the Chapter.
These professionals were formally felicitated during a special segment of the program, recognizing their
dedication, perseverance, and contribution to the internal audit profession.
To widen its reach, the conference was live-streamed for members of the Vizag Audit Club and other
remote attendees, enabling a broader audience to benefit from the insightful sessions.
An exciting addition to this year’s event was the White Paper Contest, designed to showcase insights on
evolving risks in internal auditing. Participants explored thought-provoking topics such as the changing
landscape of fraud risk, the impact of artificial intelligence on the role of internal auditors, and strategies
for integrating macroeconomic risks into audit processes. The contest drew compelling entries from both
emerging professionals and seasoned practitioners, reflecting the depth of thought leadership within the
IIA community. The winning white paper, authored by Mohammed Zayeem Khan, offered a nuanced
analysis of macroeconomic risks and their implications for internal audit.
Ms. Deepika Santdasani, who served as the host, ensured that the conference maintained a high level of
energy and engagement throughout the day. The success of the conference was further supported by the
unwavering efforts of the Board of Governors and a team of dedicated volunteers who worked diligently
behind the scenes.
The Annual Conference 2025 not only showcased the strength and vibrancy of the internal audit profession
but also reaffirmed the collective vision and commitment of the IIA community toward excellence,
resilience, and continued growth.
